A little spoiler, for the drawings yet to come, I think this might be my very favorite of them all. It’s a small representation of what’s most important to me. The baby hedgehogs are even holding cups of hot cocoa! I do love to punctuate every moment with appropriate beverages. (I imagine that the big hedgehog has a steamy cup of tea on a table on the other side of the armchair.) If I have the chance to be an old woman, if I can look back on my life and remember my best things, the sum of it will be about this shape.

yes these drawings are charming, lovely and all sorts of whimsy. She needs an etsy shop. Or something. And if she’s reading–do not for a second doubt yourself. I wish someone had told me that when I was younger. You’re better than you think you are. Keep going!
